Legend
◆ Diamonds = calculated impact points (triangulated from two or more stations). New ones briefly show lines from the detecting stations; click a diamond to show them again.
● Dots at a station = strikes heard by that station (newest first, clickable)
Colour = age of the strike:
now5′15′30′1 h3 h+
⚡ Box at the bottom left = number of impact points and station reports inside the visible map area for the selected time range. Pan or zoom to count a region.
🔵 Blue dot = your own position (only if you allow it in the browser; it never leaves your browser). Click it for the distance to the nearest impact point, 📍 below the zoom buttons jumps back to it.
🔊 / lin = strikes from VLF 2.0.9 stations carry a 64 ms audio snippet (open the strike to see the waveform and listen; ⅛× plays it eight times slower and lower) and a linearity value: near 1 both ferrites swing in step, as a real sferic does; low values hint at local interference.
✳️ Yellow fan at a station = bearing rose: where that station heard strikes in the last 60 minutes, in 10° sectors. Longer and brighter = more and fresher reports; it fades when the activity stops. Drawn both ways, because a single station cannot tell e.g. NE from SW.
🟢/🔴 Dots = stations online / offline (position rounded to ~1 km)
🗺️ Map style (top right): Map (default), Terrain or Dark. Your choice is remembered on this device.
